Introducing our new Podcast page October 13, 2016

We have been busy redesigning our Podcast page and we hope that with the new page, it will be easier to search and access the latest ppodcast-pageodcasts and accompanying presentation slides.

Why change it?

We have noticed that our Podcasts page has been getting long and growing, and it is starting to get unwieldy to update.

In addition, as this page is a very useful resource for the public, we thought it would be good to improve user experience by not letting users navigate or scroll to the bottom of the page to access the latest podcast.

What hasn’t changed?

None of the podcasts are being removed or deleted and the numbering system will stay the same.

So what changes have we made?

The list of podcast is now displayed in table format, showing 15 entries at a time and enables users to sort the table according to: podcast number, podcast title, presenter and date the podcast was recorded. By default, it is set to sort descending by podcast number.

In addition, users can filter or search the table and only rows with the search word in them are shown. Also, users can change the number of entries shown.

What else has changed?

We’ve created a page for each podcast episode and each page contains the same information: overview of the podcast, name of the presenter, duration and size of the audio and link to the accompanying presentation slides.

With the creation of podcast episode pages, it enabled us to show related podcast episodes and this is the result of additional metadata we have included.

Our new and shiny Podcast page is now available and it will run alongside the old page until end of October. We encourage you to try it out and send us your thoughts.
