State Archives and Records NSW website

The State Archives and Records NSW website contains all of State Archives and Records NSW’s official publications.

Pages relating to government recordkeeping obligations reside underneath the Government Recordkeeping in the NSW Public Sector web page.

In particular, Transitioning to digital business and Designing, implementating and managing systems on the website contains links to all resources developed by State Archives and Records NSW to assist public offices with implementing digital recordkeeping, including the Standard on digital recordkeeping.

There is also a Frequently Asked Questions page which contains questions State Archives and Records NSW is asked on a regular basis and the responses.

Future Proof blog

State Archives and Records NSW uses its Future Proof blog to post information about current digital recordkeeping issues. On the blog we road-test new ideas, distribute new information and initiate discussion on digital recordkeeping issues.

State Archives and Records NSW’s official digital recordkeeping publications, like standards and guidelines, can be found on State Archives and Records NSW’s website. We use the blog to post our thoughts on emerging issues, ideas and topics, and promptly circulate current advice on a range of digital recordkeeping issues. The two sites are intended to work together – the website for the State Archives and Records NSW’s formal, published requirements and the blog for more rapid ideas, advice and information.

The Future Proof blog now has over 100 posts, and contains quite comprehensive advice on a range of issues. All blog posts are categorised. The categories can be used to access all posts on a particular topic. For example, you can search on cloud computing, or risk and recordkeeping, or digitisation.
